Nepal crashes out of ACC Women’s T20 tournament
Nepal’s women's cricket team suffered an early exit from the ongoing Asian Cricket Council Women's T20 tournament being held in Guangzhou, China after losing to Bangladesh by nine wickets in their Group B match on Friday.
After losing the toss, Nepal was forced to bat first. But Nepali women were limited to a lowly total of 45 run with the loss of all wickets in 19.3 overs. Nepal cricket star Neri Thapa, who scored an unbeaten 12 runs, was the highest scorer for Nepal in the match.
In reply, Bangladesh reached the target of 46 runs in just 10.1 overs with the loss of one wicket.
With the second defeat in two days, Nepal is now out of the tournament.
