Lopchan 's body sent to TU Teaching Hospital
The body of the Nepal Paralympics official which was lying unattended at the Tribhuvan International Airport for a week has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital, officials said.
Man Bahadur Lopchan (45), who had tried to commit suicide in September, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Hospital in London. Reports said the official, who was in the UK to participate in the Parlaympics, died due to Hypoxic brain injury, caused by a decrease in the oxygen supply to the brain.
London 2012 officials, who were earlier preparing to perform the last rites of the deceased, said Lopchan's body has been sent home.
The body had remained inside a life-sized cardboard box at the only international airport in the country after it was brought there by a Silk Air plane on October 21.
However, Lopchan's family is yet to claim the body. Nepalnews.com
