Last day of Dashain today
Hindus across the country and beyond are celebrating the final day of the Dashain festival on Monday as they observe Kojagrat Purnima.
The festival, which began two weeks ago, ends as revelers worship goddess Mahalaxmi by staying awake through the night. Households are also laying to rest the Jamara (barely saplings) they planted during Ghatasthapana, the first day of the festival. Government offices, which have remained closed for the past week, are set to open on Tuesday. Nepalnews.com
