Viral fever claims five lives in Dailekh

Five persons have died in Lalikanda VDC-5 of Dailekh district due to viral fever in last two days.

According to Dailekh District Public Health Office, Jaisara Thapa, 56, Ramshila Nepali, 55, and one-year-old Ram Bahadur Thapa died due to the disease on Friday while Bhakta Bahadur Budha, 55 and Bhim Bahadur Thapa, 60, died on Thursday.

Chief of the Public Health Office, Dr Sushil Bhandari said that they died while being rushed to the hospital for treatment. According to him, they have been informed that that more than 200 people in the DVC have fallen ill.

After getting informed about the pandemic, the Public Health Office has sent a team of health workers to the village. It is learnt that people have been suffering from viral fever since last two weeks. nepalnews.com
