Three parties continue parleys; no concrete results yet
Seeking to resolve current political deadlock facing the country, the major three political parties-UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML continued meeting on Saturday as well. The meeting held at UML headquarters in Balkhu this morning, ended on a positive note, according to the leaders. However, the meeting could not reach a concrete decision regarding the differences among the parties.
The meeting mainly dwelt on whether to reinstate the dissolved Constituent Assembly or hold fresh election along with discussing possible grounds for consensus on the disputed issues related to the constitution writing, said UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota.
According to him, the leaders agreed not to take up the issues on which agreement has already been reached. This time, the leaders have sought to forge agreement on thorny issues of the constitution, consensus government formation and process of constitution promulgation in package. nepalnews.com
