Two killed in Dang jeep mishap

Two people were killed and two more injured when a jeep they were travelling in met with an accident in Dang district Saturday night.

The accident occurred when the jeep heading to Dang from Salyan met with an accident at Tulsipur-1. The jeep had veered off the road and fell some 2oo meters down a gorge, according to Rapti Zonal Police Office, Tulsipur.

The deceased have been identified as Suresh Rahaman, 27, and Kalpana Khadka, 16, both from Dhanwang-7, Salyan.

One among the injured – Laxmi Khadka of Dhanwang-7 – received primary treatment in Tulsipur and has now been referred to Nepalgunj Hospital for further medical treatment. Jeep driver Netra Bahadur Khadka, however, is said to have received minor injuries only. nepalnews.com
