NOC jacks up fuel prices; petrol now Rs 125, kerosene Rs 97

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has jacked up prices of petroleum products again effective from Monday.

The meeting of the NOC’s board of directors held Sunday evening decided to increase Rs 5 on a litre of petrol, Rs 4 on a litre of diesel and kerosene and Rs 55 on a cylinder of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Rs 11 on aviation fuel.

With the revision, petrol will now cost Rs 125, diesel and kerosene Rs 97, aviation fuel Rs 120.69 per litre and LPG cylinder will cost Rs. 1,470.

NOC cited increasing losses as the reason behind its decision to hike the fuel prices. nepalnews.com
