NOC projects loss of Rs. 1.17 b
The monthly projected loss of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased to Rs. 1.17 billion in the month of September from Rs. 410 million in the month of August.
As per the new price list sent by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the oil monopoly will incur a loss of Rs. 0.15 per litre in petrol, Rs. 13.49 per litre in diesel and Rs. 412.28 per cylinder in LPG.
However, NOC will make profit of Rs. 3.74 per litre in kerosene, Rs. 9.69 per litre in the sale of fuel for domestic purpose and Rs. 21.09 per litre in the international aviation.
Meanwhile, NOC has jacked up the price of petrol by Rs. 5 per litre, diesel and kerosene by Rs. 4 per litre each. Similarly, it has also hiked the price of LPG by Rs. 55 per cylinder and aviation fuel for domestic purpose by Rs. 11 per litre effective from Monday. nepalnews.com
