The Federal Democratic Republican Alliance (FDRA) met at UCPN (Maoist) headquarters, Peris Danda, on Tuesday ahead of an all-party discussion aimed at finding an outlet to the protracted political deadlock.
At the meeting, UCPN (M) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who heads the alliance, informed about the progress in the talks between three major parties. According to DFRA spokesperson Prem Bahadur Singh, Dahal said that the talks had so far been positive and that he was hopeful of a breakthrough very soon.
Another meeting of the alliance is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the FDRA has invited all the political parties and prominent figures of the civil society including representatives of the professional organisations in today's discussion.
A meeting of the alliance held last week had decided to hold interaction involving all sides to find a way out of the impasse. nepalnews.com
