CIB arrests main accused of IoE’s question paper leak
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested main accused of entrance question paper leak incident in Kathmandu.
Police on Tuesday arrested Siddhartha Lama , worker at Sigma General Offset Press, Sanepa and Lokendra Bist, allegedly involved in leaking question paper of the entrance examination of Institute of Engineering (IoE), Pulchowk scheduled for August 12.
The Sigma General Offset Press was given authority to print the questions.
The police said Bista forced Lama to hide a copy of question paper which was later sold at Rs. 30,000 to 50,000.
According to the report of CIB, Bista circulated the question paper to Kishor Bista and Rabin Pokhrel, which later went into the hand of Birendra Sah for a price of Rs. 30,000 on August 9.
Similarly, Sah also sold the questions to Madan Mandal at Rs. 50,000 and subsequently the questions were dispersed to other students as well.
The IoE has also cancelled the entrance examination following the leak of the questions. Nepalnews.com
