NC wants deal on consensus govt before negotiating on other issues
Nepali Congress Wednesday concluded that formation of consensus government was a must prior to deciding whether to go for fresh election or reinstate the Constituent Assembly (CA).
The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the NC held at party headquarters, Sanepa, decided to discuss on all possible options to give outlet to the country only after the issue of consensus government is settled.
"We are ready for discussion on all possible options but the there should be a unity government to build environment of trust first," said NC spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu emerging from the meeting.
Saying that the NC was always in favour of democratic constitution, Badu informed that the meeting expressed doubt on the UCPN (Maoist).
"The Maoist party that was responsible for the demise of the CA is proposing revival of the CA. Our party have doubts about their intention," he added. nepalnews.com
