Eight student unions Friday submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai putting forth various demands including withdrawal of recently hiked fuel prices.

Meeting the PM at his official residence in Baluwatar, the representatives of the student unions demanded to withdraw price hike in fuels, end corruption at Nepal Oil Corporation and stop screening of obscene movies among other.

The cadres of student unions also obstructed vehicular movements in the capital Friday morning protesting government decision to hike the fuel prices.

The Nepal Oil Corporation had increased petrol price to Rs 125, diesel and kerosene to Rs 97, aviation fuel to Rs 120.69 per litre and LPG cylinder to Rs. 1,470 on Monday. nepalnews.com
