666 combatants fill forms for integration into NA

A total of 666 former combatants of the UCPN (Maoist) have filled forms for their integration  into Nepali Army in all cantonments till Friday.

According to Balananda Sharma, coordinator of Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) secretariat, 52 combatants have filled forms in Ilam, 79 in Sindhuli, 156 in Chitwan, 145 in Nawalparasi, 37 in Rolpa, 123 in Surkhet and 74 combatants have filled forms in Kailali.

3,123 combatants who have chosen integration will be integrated into Nepal Army. However, all of them have to prove physical fitness to be further qualified for the integration.

A team comprising the members of AISC, and senior NA officials has also started examination of physical standards of the combatants before they are integrated. nepalnews.com
