CA can be revived for a week, says NC gen secy Singh

Nepali Congress general secretary Prakash Man Singh Saturday said that Constituent Assembly (CA) could be reinstated for a week to promulgate new constitution after forging agreement on the contentious issues related to the constitution.

Speaking at a programme in Kathmandu, leader Singh also opined that it would be meaningless to revive the constitution for a short period without finding a common ground on the disputed issues as there was no possibility to arrive at a consensus within a week.

"it is impossible to forge consensus within a short time span even if the CA is reinstated for a week," he added, "So, CA should be reinstated only after forging consensus among the parties."
