New US ambassador Bodde arrives
Peter W. Bodde arrived in Kathmandu to assume his duty as the new ambassador of the United States to Nepal on Saturday.

According to the US embassy, Bodde is scheduled to president his credentials to President Ram Baran Yadav on Monday.
Bodde, who joined the US Foreign Service in 1981, had served at the US embassy in Kathmandu twice earlier. He was deputy chief of mission from 1994 to 1997 and attache´ from 1982 to 1984 in Kathmandu. He speaks fluent Nepali.
Bodde also served as Minister Counselor for Administrative Affairs in a number of countries including India and as Consul General in Frankfurt, Germany from September 2002 to February 2006.
His predecessor Scott H. DeLisi was shifted to Uganda as US ambassador before his tenure in Kathmandu ended. nepalnews.com
