Gulmi bus accident toll climbs to 13
At least 13 people were killed and over a dozen others injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Shringa of Gulmi district Sunday morning.
Eleven people were killed on the spot while two others died while being rushed the hospital, local news reports said.
The accident occurred when the passenger bus (Lu 1 Kha 5583) heading for Kathmandu from Gulmi skidded off the road and fell into a gorge several meters down while taking a difficult turn. Reports said the death toll could rise as some of the injured passengers are in critical condition.
The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately. A team of police personnel aided by locals was involved in rescuing the injured passengers, rushing them to the nearest health center for treatment. nepalnews.com
