Poudel roots for CA revival to end political crisis facing country

Nepali Congress vice president Ram Chandra Poudel has said that revival of the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA) was crucial to end the existing political deadlock in the country.

Poudel added that the revived CA can then promulgate the constitution after forging consensus on disputed issues and ending other constitutional complexities.

Speaking at a press meet organised by the Nepal Press Union, Rupandehi chapter at Butwal on Sunday, he, however, said there is no other alternative than to forge national consensus before the reinstatement of the CA. Poudel said that only a new government formed with national consensus could do away with the mistrust and differences that exists among the parties and pave the way for revival of CA.
