Nepal beat Maldives 5-0 in SAFF Women’s Championship as Jamuna Gurung shines again

Nepal defeated Maldives 5-0 in their second Group ‘B’ match of the ongoing second SAFF Women’s Championship 2012 played at CR&FC Grounds, Colombo in Sri Lanka on Monday.

Nepal team captain Jamuna Gurung scored a hat-trick while Dipa Adhikari and Anu Lama netted one goal each for Nepal to secure victory for their team.

With the second straight win, Nepal entered semi-finals topping the championship‘s chart by accumulating 6 points in Group ‘B’.

Now, Nepal will take on Afghanistan on Wednesday in their last Group match.
