NA will play role in concluding peace proces: CoAS Rana

Newly appointed Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher Rana Monday said the Nepal Army will play necessary role in bringing the peace process to a conclusion.
"The Nepal Army has a major responsibility to contribute to conclusion of the ongoing peace procss by respecting the aspirations of the Nepali people for peaceuful, progressous and undivided Nepal," CoAS Rana said, addressing an assembly of senior army officers at the NA headquarters.
Mentioning that the NA must maintain its professional and non-political character, Rana also emphasised the army needs to build inclusive and corruption-free image.
On the occasion, Rana, who was sworn in on Sunday, also thanked the President and the government for appointing him as the NA chief. nepalnews.com
