Gold continues to glitter; set new record of Rs. 61,177 per tola

The price of gold continued to surge in the domestic market to set a new record high of Rs. 61,177 per tola (11.644 gm) on Monday, breaking the previous record of Rs. 61,120 per tola on Sunday, the first trading day.

The price of the precious metal has been setting new records almost every day in the domestic market since the last two weeks following the rise in its price in the international market.

Gold was traded at Rs. 59,900 per tola on Sunday, Rs. 59,778 per tola on Monday and Rs. 60,000 per tola on Tuesday, Rs. 60,200 per tola on Wednesday, Rs. 60,536 per tola on Thursday and Rs. 60,000 per tola on Friday last week. nepalnews.com
