PM Bhattarai praises ICC World Cricket League winning Nepali team

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai congratulated the Nepali national cricket team for their successive victory in the ICC World Cricket League Division 4 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Issuing a statement on Tuesday, PM Bhattarai also praised the players for their great performance to secure historical victory for Nepal in the foreign land, the first ever for the country in cricket.

Bhattarai also highly praised the players and coach for their contribution in boosting the reputation of the country internationally through the medium of sports, according to the statement.

The team arrived in the capital today after defeating USA in the final match of the tournament on Monday.

Nepal defeated Singapore by five wickets in the opening match, Tanzania by eight wickets, Malaysia by a humbling 10 wickets, USA by 32 runs and Denmark by 25 runs. Nepal then went on to win against USA by eight wickets in the finals of the Division 4 tournament.
