Nepali women footballers do it again; defeat Afghanistan 7-1 to top Group 'B' in SAFF Women's C'ship
Nepal thrashed Afghanistan 7-1 in their last Group 'B' match of the second SAFF Women's Championship 2012 played at CR&FC Grounds, Colombo in Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
Nepal's Niru Thapa, Sajana Rana and Anu Lama scored two goals each while the inspirational captain Jamuna Gurung scored a goal to secure a crushing victory against Afghanistan.
With the win, Nepal topped the Group 'B' chart. This is the third consecutive victory for Nepal.
Earlier, Nepal had defeated Pakistan 8-0 and Maldives 5-0.
