Govt to provide subsidy in cooking gas, kerosene to students
The government has decided to provide subsidy on cooking gas and kerosene to students.
As per Tuesday's government’s decision, students will be entitled to subsidy in cooking gas up to Rs. 250 per cylinder and Rs. 10 per litre in kerosene.
A student will get maximum of four cylinders per year with subsidy and subsidy in maximum 10 litres of kerosene per month, according to the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies (MoCS).
The decision comes following continuous protests by student unions against the hike in the price of petroleum products. nepalnews.com
