Viral fever claims six lives in Chitwan; doctors deny epidemic

Six persons have died of viral fever that broke out since the first week of August in Chitwan district.

District Public Health Office, Chitwan said two persons died while receiving treatment for viral fever in Bharatpur Hospital, three in Chitwan Medical College, and one in Bharatpur Medical College. The victims have not been identified, but are said to be from various neighbouring districts.

However, the doctors said the public need not panic because the viral fever is still not an epidemic, but precautions should be adopted nonetheless.
