Naya Patrika journalist succumbs to injuries from accident

Naya Patrika daily's correspondent and Bajhang district secretary of Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ), Naresh Khadka, who was injured in an accident few days earlier, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu Wednesday evening.

Khadka, 28, who had sustained severe injury after being accidentally hit by a stone that came rolling down when he was on his way to Chainpur to collect news, died at the Annapurna Neuro Hospital at around 7 pm Wednesday. He was airlifted to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj for further treatment.

He was also the district vice president of Press Chautari Nepal. Issuing separate press statements, the FNJ and Press Chautari Nepal expressed grief over Khadka death.

Khadka is survived his wife, a son and a daughter. nepalnews.com
