Seven including six APF men die in bus-truck collision

Seven persons including six Armed Police Personnel (APF) were killed and over two dozen others injured when an APF truck collided with a passenger bus in Kapilvastu district Friday.

The Na-1-Kha 587 truck heading for Taulihawa smashed head-on with the passenger bus (Lu-1-Kha 3599) that was coming towards Butwal from Dang at Champapur, reports said.

The APF personnel killed in the accident have been identified as Head Constable Hasta Bahadur B.K and constables Anga Lal Chaudhary, Govind Khatri, Khagendra Khadka, Deepak Buda and Shiva Chaudhary. Among the deceased was Chudamani Pokharel, a passenger of the bus.

A dozen seriously injured passengers have been airlifted to Kathmandu while others are undergoing treatment at different local hospitals. nepalnews.com
