Mother commits suicide as 5-yr-old son dies of snakebite

A mother aggrieved by the death of her five-year old son of snakebite has committed suicide in Pokhara.

Bina Sunar of Alamdevi in Syangja chose to finish her life by jumping into Seti gorges after her son, Bharat, died while being treated at Manipal Teaching Hospital. The boy was bitten by snake when he was asleep.

Her dead body was found on the banks of Seti river near Naransthan Thursday evening, local reports said.

She had gone through a similar tragedy one year ago when her husband died. nepalnews.com
