Maoist spokesperson lashes out at NC, UML for 'provoking' President Yadav

UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson Agni Sapkota Saturday claimed that the Nepali Congress and the UML were inviting political crisis by provoking President Ram Baran Yadav against the government.

Speaking at a press conference held at UCPN (M) headquarters, Peris Danda, Sapkota said the NC and the UML were provoking the President as they were desperate to make it to power. He said the Maoist party would launch massive protests if the President took a step at the pressure from NC and UML.

Sapkota also blamed the two opposition parties of deliberately delaying the talks for consensus. He said the opposition leaders started going to the districts when they were supposed to sit for talks in the capital.

He also said the UCPN (M) was in favour of Constituent Assembly elections if the parties have to go to polls at all. nepalnews.com
