NC leader KC rules out CA reinstatement

Central Working Committee member of Nepali Congress Arjun Narsingh KC Sunday said reinstatement of the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA) was not possible.

Speaking at a press conference organised by Press Union Morang chapter, he also said that CA's reinstatement was a meaningless dispute.

According to him, even the option of reviving the CA for a short period would not resolve current political crisis. "CA could not give constitution even in four years. So, there is no guarantee of promulgating new constitution by reviving it for the short period," he added.

He also accused the UCPN (Maoist) of discarding consensus, collaboration and unity- the essence if interim constitution.

Leader KC also said his party was in favour of holding fresh CA polls in instead of reinstating it. nepalnews.com
