Ncell Cup: APF, Army secure win; tournament postponed till Sep 21 for friendly match between Nepal-Bangladesh
Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Army won their respective matches in the ongoing Ncell Cup Football Championship played at the Dasharath Stadium on Sunday.
In the first match of the day, APF defeated NIBL Friends Club 3-2. Ganesh Lawati, Shyam Nepali and Bhim Bahadur Shrestha scored one goal each to secure a win for their team. Similarly, Friend’s Ajad Pradhan and Deepak Gurung scored one goal each for their team.
Similarly, in another match of the day, Army thrashed New Road Team (NRT) 5-0 to secure victory as Tanka Basnet scored two goals while Navayug Shrestha, Bharat Khawas and Jitendra Karki scored one goal each.
Meanwhile, the tournament has been postponed till Friday as Nepali National Team and Bangladesh National Team are set to play friendly matches on Tuesday and Thursday at Dasharath Stadium.
The tournament will resume with the match between Rani Pokhari Corner Team and Mahindra Bansbari Football Club on Friday. nepalnews.com
