SC stays TU vacancies for lack of 'inclusiveness'
The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the vacancies of professors and assistant professors published by Tribhuvan University.
A single bench of justice Girish Chandra Lal issued the stay order on a writ petition filed by advocates duo Deependra Jha and Sunil Ranjan Singh.
The writ mentioned that the TU administration failed to follow the norms of inclusiveness while announcing the vacancies. It said the TU intended to sideline women, Dalits, Janajatis and Madhesis.
The TU had recently published vacancy notice for 49 professors and 57 assistant professors to be recruited through open competition. nepalnews.com
