US ambassador Bodde calls on PM Bhattarai

Newly appointed US ambassador to Nepal Peter W. Bodde met Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai at the latter's office in Singha Durbar on Wednesday.

In the meeting, PM Bhattarai said he was hopeful that Nepal-US relations would further consolidate during Bodde's tenure, it was learnt. He also thanked the US government for removing the UCPN (Maoist) from the terrorist list.

Similarly, Bodde said the US government would continue its support to different sectors in Nepal and that the US was hopeful of the parties finding an outlet to the political deadlock soon.
