Official activities brought to halt in Kaski for 4th consecutive day
Local people of Pokhara have obstructed official activities in all the government agencies in Kaski district for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday as part of their protest to exert pressure on government to construct regional international airport in Pokhara.
They staged sit- in at Regional Administration Office on Tuesday. The office staffs and public were bared from entering the office as the demonstrators blocked the entrance gate of the office.
Administrative activities have been halted in almost all government offices in Kaski due to the strike of the pressure group for the fourth consecutive day. The pressure group has urged all the government agencies in the district to close down their services in support of the 'movement'.
The pressure group comprising the representatives from various walks of life launched second round of strike accusing that the government did not keep its promise to meet their demands within 15 days. nepalnews.com
