APF seize rare birds being smuggled to India
The Armed Police Force (APF) has confiscated birds of various species that were being smuggled out to India in Sarlahi, state-owned news agency RSS reports.
An APF team under the command of Senior Head Constable Satyadev Yadav confiscated 15 pairs of pigeons and 10 pairs of wild fowls. The smugglers abandoned the birds and absconded as soon as they saw the police.
The Border Security Office, Sarlahi stated that the birds would be released in the wild in coordination with the District Forestry Office. nepalnews.com
