Contradicting Wednesday's decision of the four major political forces, Physical Planning Minister and senior leader of Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party, Hridayesh Tripathi, Friday said there was still possibility of an agreement between the parties on reinstatement of the Constituent Assembly.

Speaking at an interaction organised by the Reporters Club's Rupandehi chapter in Butwal, Tripathi said there is strong opinion in favour of reinstatement of the CA and that the parties might ultimately arrive at an understanding for CA reinstatement.

He also said that despite the decision to hold fresh CA polls parties were afraid of election in the present situation. "Reinstating the CA by reaching an agreement on the disputed issues of the constitution is the best option," said he.

Minister Tripathi, whose party was part of Wednesday's decision, also said the demand for resignation of the caretaker government made no sense but claimed that the government was ready to cooperate in the efforts to form a national unity government. nepalnews.com
