Women tortured by relatives for 4 yrs for witchcraft

Relatives of a woman of Padaul VDC in Mahottari district have been torturing her for the past four years on the charge of practicing witchcraft.

Kari Yadav of Ward No. 2 of the VDC told RSS relatives of Chadrakala Devi, 35, of Padaul VDC-1 thrashed and boycotted her for the past four years calling her a witch.

Chandrakala said she had to bear thrashing many times since 2065 BS for practicing magic if anyone in her tole falls ill or any sorrowful incidents occur.
