Buddha Air adds new ATR
Buddha Air, one of the leading domestic carriers in Nepal, has brought a new 72-seater ATR72-500.
The aircraft landed at the Tribhuvan Internationa Airport (TIA) on Sunday.
With the new plane, Buddha now has a fleet of nine planes including three ATR42s, three ATR72s, and three B-1900D.
The airliner had signed an agreement to purchase the aircraft with Franco-Italian on April 18, 2012.
Buddha Air had signed a loan agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – World Bank Group to purchase one additional 72 seater ATR72-500 aircraft July 3, 2012. As per the agreement, IFC agreed to provide US$ 6.9 million.
