Combatants getting through exams to be sent on 45-day leave before formal integration
Former Maoist combatants, who have passed the written and medical tests, are being sent on a 45-day leave before joining training as part of formal integration process.
"The former combatants, who have passed the examinations overseen by the Public Service Commission (PSC), are being sent on leave for 45-days," coordinator of the Secretariat of the Army Integration Special Committee, Balananda Sharma, told RSS.
"The NA will give the final list of the former PLA fighters passing different tests and process of sending them on leave for 45 days will begin," said Sharma. According to him, they will be provided with allowances of two months in advance.
The former combatants will be fully responsible to NA once they are sent to leave. They will be sent for NA training after the leave.
"Process of sending the former PLA passing in the tests would take three to four days," Sharma informed.
The written exams and medical tests for combatants choosing integration in officer and lower levels concluded recently. A total of 1388 combatants got through the process. However, 75 combatants selected for officer level posts are not being sent on leave at the moment. nepalnews.com
