Int'l investment flying to other nations due to lack of full-fledged budget: Minister Tripathi
Minister for Physical Planning and Works, Hridayesh Tripathi said that foreign investment in infrastructure has been discouraged by lack of full-fledged budget.
Speaking at a function in the capital on Tuesday, Minister Tripathi said that foreign investors like World Bank, Asian Development Bank among others have been forced to shift their investment in other countries as the partial budget has hindered new agreements.
He also said that the construction of roads in different parts of the country has been affected due to lack of full budget.
On the occasion, Federation of Contractors Association of Nepal (FCAN) chairman Jayaram Lamichhane urged the political parties to forge consensus to introduce full budget. He also said that the contractors would force to organise protest programmes if there is no full budget as the lack of budget has hit hard in the construction sector. Nepalnews.com
