Six killed in Parbat jeep mishap
Six persons – four men and two women – were killed when a jeep they were travelling in met an accident at Daraukhola, Shaligram VDC of Parbat district Tuesday night.
The accident occurred when the jeep coming from Syangja veered off the road while negotiating the steep hilly road and fell 500 metres down the road at 9 pm.
The deceased have been identified as Tham Bahadur Thapa, Bhakti Ram Thapa, Gita Thapa of Uram-3 and Man Bahadur Chhetri Basyal, Dilliraman Bhusal and Bashundhara Bhattarai of Uram-4.
Two passengers were also hurt in the incident, but have already reached home after receiving primary treatment at a local health post. They said they managed to save their lives by jumping off the jeep.
Both the jeep driver and his assistant are currently absconding, police said. nepalnews.com
