Women’s Nat’l T20 Cricket Tournament: APF, Jankpur win
Armed Police Force (APF) defeated Region No. 8 Pokhara by 10 wickets in the Wai Wai Women’s National T20 Cricket Tournament that kicked off in Pokhara on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first, Pokhara posted a target of 32 losing 9 wickets in 20 overs while APF easily met the target in 2.5 overs as Sita Rana Magar scored 13 runs and Madhu Thapa contributes 9 runs. APF’s Sarita Magar was declared player of the match as she alone claimed four wickets.
Similarly, Region No. 7 Janakpur defeated Region No. 1 Biratnagar by 34 runs in another match of the day.
Electing to bat first, Janakpur scored total 75 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Mamta Chaudhary contributed 19 runs for Janakpur. While chasing the target, Biratnagar were restricted just to 41 runs in 18.5 overs.
