Policeman stabbed to death in Taplejung

A member of Nepal Police patrol team was killed and another one was injured after a group of youths attacked them in Taplejung district Wednesday night.

Policeman Bhupendra Acharya, permanent resident of Dhankua was stabbed to death by a group of youths at Dobhan VDC last night.

A group of around 15 youths attacked members of patrol team after they requested the local youths not to make noise at a hotel run by Shyam Limbu, police said.

Police constable Chandra Rai of Panchthar has been injured in the incident. He is receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.

The police also said that they have started search for those involved in the attack. nepalnews.com
