Nepalese organisations in US provide financial assistance to Ama Ghar

Ama Ghar (mother's house), a shelter run by social worker Dilshova Shrestha has got financial assistance of Rs. 551,350 from Nepalese organisations in USA.

The assistance was collected by social network Sajha dot.com operated in Boston state of the United States of America, according to RSS.

Network's operator San Pradhan sent the amount to his father (Madan Mohan Pradhan)'s bank account at the Siddhartha Bank. The senior Pradhan visited the Ama Ghar based at Rabhi Bhawan in the capital today and handed over the cheque to Shrestha.

Receiving the cheque, Shrestha expressed happiness over the kind help from Nepalese sisters and brothers living abroad.

Presently, the Ama ghar has been a shelter for 36 elderly women, three elderly men and 49 helpless children. nepalnews.com
