CPN-M calls off Chitwan bandh after release of cadres
The Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist has withdrawn the shutdown strike in Chitwan Friday afternoon after crippling normal life for hours to protest the arrest of its cadres who were obstructing the Indian number plate vehicles in the district.
The party withdrew the bandh after the 13 cadres were released following talks with the district administration.
The CPN-M cadres were arrested while enforcing the ban announced by the party on Indian vehicles. They had stopped a number of cargo vehicles in different parts of Chitwan and prevented them from passing. nepalnews.com
