NEPSE index gains 0.62 pts
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 0.62 points over last week to settle at 415.70 points on Thursday, the last trading day.
As per the sub-indices of the secondary market, other group gained 21.14 points, hydropower 6.05 points, trading 2.53 points and insurance 16.92 points while commercial bank posted negative by 4.68 points, hotel 5.65 points, finance 0.03 points, and development bank 2.28 points.
Over the week, the secondary stock market traded with 121 companies registering a turnover of Rs. 435.66 million while it had traded with 125 companies registering a turnover of Rs. 629.59 million in the previous week.
The transaction amount has declined by 30.81 percent compared to the previous week.
Of the total transaction, Group A companies alone contributed Rs. 261.1 million which is 59.94 percent of the total turnover.
Chilime Hydropower Company topped the chart in terms of the highest transaction registering Rs. 91.63 million over last week.
Similarly, Everest Bank registered Rs. 36.25 million, Kist Bank Rs. 27.88 million, Prime Life Insurance Company Rs. 27.74 million and Nepal Telecommunication Company Rs. 20.87 million were among the top five companies to have the highest transactions over the week. nepalnews.com |
