PM Bhattarai urges LPG traders to support distribution of LPG consumer cards

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has urged liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) traders to support the government to implement the dual colour gas cylinders and in the distribution of the LPG consumer cards.

Inaugurating the general convention of the Gas Dealers’ Federation Nepal
(GDFN) here in the capital on Saturday, PM Bhattarai highlighted that dual pricing in LPG is necessary for the management and smooth supply of cooking gas in the market.

Bhattarai has also urged the gas entrepreneurs to ease the supply of cooking gas and discourage black marketing.

The government is preparing to introduce dual LPG cylinder (red cylinders for consumers and blue for commercial users) in the market from October 17.

The government had planned to enforce the system from August 17, but it was deferred after strong protests from the LPG bottling companies. Nepalnews.com
