Nepali rupee hits all time low against dollar
The Nepali rupee has depreciated to all time low against dollar as Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the rate at Rs. 98.60 per dollar for Wednesday. The previous low was recorded at Rs. 98.05 against the greenback on Sunday.
The central bank fixes the exchange rate following the change in the Indian rupee against the dollar.
The Indian currency had plunged to the record low of IRs. 61.80 against US dollar on Tuesday. The previous record low was IRs. 61.21 on July 8, 2013.
The IC had resumed at 61.05 at the interbank foreign exchange market and continued its slide to 61.80 due to demand of the dollar from importers. nepalnews.com
