CDC submits report to govt; no changes in constituencies
The Constituency Delimitation Commission (CDC) submitted its report to the government on Thursday.
CDC chairman Tahir Ali Ansari handed over the report to chairman of the interim election council Khil Raj Regmi at the latter's office in Singha Durbar.
The commission has not recommended any changes in the existing 240 constituencies, it is learnt. The panel had demanded amendment to the Interim Constitution so that the election constituencies could be delimited on the basis of population, but the major parties had rejected the idea. Nepalnews.com
