Ceremonial king and Maoism should co-exist: Kamal Thapa
President of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, Kamal Thapa has said that the election of the second Constituent Assembly should ensure a system, in which both the ceremonial king and the philosophy of Maoists can exist together under a democratic form of governance.
Presenting a working paper at an interaction program titled as 'Alternative way of nation building' in Kathmandu Friday, Thapa said only a constitution that accommodates these two institutions (king and Maoists) can ascertain peace, prosperity, democracy and stability.
Thapa, who has been advocating for reviving constitutional monarchy, said that his party would prepare election strategy and manifesto only after collecting suggestions through various interaction programs across the country. nepalnews.com
