Nepal to participate in 3rd South Asian Karate Championship from August 17
Nepal´s Waderio Karate Team is set to participate in the Third South Asian Karate Championship to be held in Gujrat, India on August 17 and 18.
Altogether 10 male players will participate in the kumite and single kata.
The players include Santosh Majhi, Ajay Bhakta Shreshta, Manish Tamang, Manoj Rajbanshi, Kailash Banset, Keshar Subba, Laxman Tamang, Tej Bahadur Tamang, Jeevan Pulami and Man Bahadur Lama.
The team is led by Harisharan KC, the general secretary of Nepal Karate Federation and the chief coach of Nepal Waderio Karate Association.
In the previous editions held in India, Nepal had won six gold medals to finish runner-up in the first edition and nine gold medals in the second edition to bag the championship.
